Footprints Down Under is a backpacking and travel site, our main site is FootprintsDownUnder.com.au -

Why is this here? To be honest most of our traffic is generated by people researching before they begin their backpacking Australia adventure.

We are leveraging the local UK search with this domain to better reach our audience.

Why don’t we just use a .com address as that would fix everything?

You are so right with our market being international it would make total sense to use a .com domain, unfortunately we lost our .com domain along with 5 years of work, it is partly our fault and partly the domain registers fault, we are trying to negotiate with the new domain owner to get our FootprintsDownUnder.com domain back.

We are not sure when our rightful domain will be back in our hands so in the mean time we are building our home again on FootprintsDownUnder.com.au – I hope this makes sense to people reading this
